This service has been enabled through funding from Oxford City Council and is being delivered in partnership by The Gatehouse and Aspire.
Both partners have responded to the need for a safe space for women, a place where they can access bespoke services, talk to like-minded people, bond over shared experiences, or even just have a cup of tea and a chat. This service also offers the opportunity to forge positive relationships with other women.
Unless otherwise stated, all sessions take place at the Gatehouse and no booking is required. Travel expenses can be reimbursed for public transport costs in Oxford.

With a team of female Support Workers on hand to offer tailored advice, support on numerous topics including:
- Housing advice
- Women's health
- Drug and alcohol support
- Family advice
- Finance and debt management advice
- Cooking classes
- Domestic abuse support
- Bespoke workshops tailored to need
The May sessions are as follows:
- 5th - Hair and Nails Pamper day at Activate College. The Gatehouse will be closed on this Thursday. The ladies who have pre booked a session will meet at Activate College.
PRE BOOKED APPOINTMENTS ONLY. Activate College trainees will be providing hair and nail treatments for the ladies at the hub. This is the first session at the college. They plan to hold this session again later in the summer for ladies who attend the hub and for those that are unable to book this session due to limited numbers. They will advertise the next sessions 2 weeks before to ensure an appointment. For those who have booked please meet the hub team at the college at the time slot booked for your treatment. Hair treatments, 10.00/ 1.00. Nail treatments 1.00pm / 4.00pm, Please arrive at the college for 10am if you are having hair done and 12.45 for nails only. For those of you who have booked both, you may need to wait or come back for the next session.
12th - The session will be held at The Porch this week and not the Gatehouse. They are very happy to be working in collaboration with the Porch and to invite you to their Al Fresco Picnic at the Porch Allotments.
The Porch will be welcoming the Women of Oxford to come and join us and the Women's hub team at The Porch allotments to enjoy an al fresco lunch in our beautiful green space, engage in the workshop hosted by their wonderful allotment lead and be able to experience first-hand working on our allotment. They will look forward to seeing you there. Address for the allotment is: Bhandari Close, Oxford.
19th - Crystal workshop by the lovely Caroline Winn. This workshop will be held at The Gatehouse
Caroline will be demonstrating how to do a simple crystal meditation using a tumblestone and showcasing her collection of crystals and delivering a workshop on the wellbeing benefits of crystal healing.
26th - Relaxing Stress Buster Gong and Tibetan Singing Bowl Sound Bath therapy with Teena from Aurora Sound Therapy and Reiki Centre. This session will be delivered at the Gatehouse.
Teena Lyle is the founder of the Aurora Sound Therapy and Reiki Centre. When she is not touring as a musician, she focusses her time on holding sound baths and reiki sessions with large groups and one-to-one client. Rinse away the week’s burdens and immerse yourself in this peaceful Sound journey that will send you away for a wonderful night’s sleep. A beautiful relaxing journey through sound to help you find inner peace and healing. Please wear comfortable clothing and if possible bring a yoga mat.
